The Effective Educators' Networkis a provider of professional development and materials in reading, language arts, math and classroom and school wide management to K-12 schools.
Our professional development is hands-on and minds-on. Our experts do demonstration teaching, coaching focused on methods that are transportable
During the last 15 years, we have worked with schools and districts throughout California. As an approved provider of training in reading and language arts for California’s schools, we have trained over 4,000 educators.
We are not newcomers to the current practices recommended by research. The group has over 160 years of experience teaching students and providing professional development for educators.
We have extensive knowledge, skills, training, and experience in the fields of English language arts, mathematics classroom management and school leadership.
Our methods are grounded in research and practical experience. They are also highly transportable, allowing educators to become highly responsive as they guide and support all learners.
What We Believe
We believe that every educator enters the field with the desire to make a real difference in students' lives. However, they do not often experience joy and fulfillment from their hard work. Instead, there is growing frustration. Our goal is to help educators, especially teachers, to develop the knowledge and a repertoire of skills that will allow them to be highly effective.
In addition to the principal, every school must have instructional leaders who have a high level of expertise teaching methods and classroom management.
Only
well-trained teachers can develop and implement the kind of instructional programs
that can significantly improve students achievement.
Professional development must be systemic, focused on improved student
achievement, data driven. and designed for continuous learning of all staff members.
Teachers should use instructional resources in flexible, responsive ways instead of being dependent on the scope and sequence, pacing and methods found in textbooks.
When all teachers are experts in providing
appropriate instruction to all students, many of the problems that
plague our schools and society in general will be greatly diminished.
